GUiPeX is a name taken from GUI (Graphical User) and UPX.
UPX, a free DOS command-line , is a portable, extendable, high-performance executable packer for several different executable formats.
It achieves an excellent compression ratio and offers very fast decompression. Your executables suffer no memory overhead or other drawbacks.
Since UPX is a DOS , a simple GUI front-end for use in Windows was needed.
Download here GUiPeX and install it.
Then Download from here UPX you will need upx391w.zip
Here is the UPX web site if you wish to take a look its on sourceforge.net
How to add UPX to GUiPeX
I downloaded upx391w.zip and then unzipped
and put the upx.exe in with the GUiPeX in programs files.
Here is the location I used
C:\Program Files (x86)\GUiPeX\upx.exe
Or if you have 32 bit windows use below loction
32 bit windows will not have C:\Program Files (x86)
Then you need to set its Location in GUiPeX with Options UPX Location
and your ready to go.
Main GUiPeX window looks like this.
GUiPeX Options window
Please note the original site at www.blueorbsoft.com no longer has GUiPeX on it,
and appears to be taken over by someone else.
So I put it up on here
This is how the blueorbsoft.com use to look like
You can even download software from above waybackmachine site.
